Cliffs 2009 Scholarship Program

Cliffs Natural Resources will again sponsor a scholarship program for the children of employees of Cliffs Natural Resources and Associated Companies. Cliffs Michigan Operations including LS&I Railroad and CTG will be eligible to receive one of the non-renewable scholarships.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Employee must be the parent or guardian of the applicant.

• Graduating high school senior (only year of eligibility) and will be attending college in the upcoming fall term.

• Minimum high school cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (grades 9 through first semester senior year transcripts).

• Student applications must be complete and an official transcript must be mailed directly to TROY SARLES from the high school in a sealed confidential envelope.

• If student is not listed as dependent, supporting documentation (i.e., birth certificate, adoption papers) must be submitted with application.

• Children of laid-off (subject to recall), disabled and deceased employees are also eligible.

Applications and transcripts must be completed and returned by March 15, 2009. Scholarships will be awarded on a lottery basis. Students receiving full academic assistance from other sources are ineligible. Grade transcripts must be received directly from the school or will be disqualified. Mail transcripts to:
