Nomination Meeting Notice

Candidates for the offices of Local Union President, Vice President, Recording Secretary, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, Guide, Two (2) Guards, Three (3) Trustees, and for the positions of Ten (10) Grievance Committee Members will be nominated from the floor at the Local Unions March regular and special meetings to be held as follows.

Ronn Hall in Negaunee MI.

Regular Monthly Meeting

4 PM on March 9^th 2009

Election Notice

USW Local 4974 Elections Will Be Held

April 13^th 2009

An election for the offices of Local Union President, Vice President, Recording Secretary, Financial Secretary, Treasurer, Guide, Two (2) Guards, Three (3) Trustees, and for the positions of Ten (10) Grievance Committee Members will be held on April 13^th 2009.

There will be two (2) polling places for voting

Outside the Tilden Dry

Between the hours of 6 AM and 4 PM on April 13^th 2009

Local 4974 office at 200 S. Main St. Ishpeming MI.

Between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM on April 13^th 2009

Absentee Ballots are available to any member whose work will require them to be more than fifty (50) miles away from a designated polling place during the time of election. Any member who is prevented from appearing at the polls because of service in the armed forces or vacation may cast an absentee ballot.

Requests for absentee ballots must be made in writing to the Chairperson of the election committee, must indicate with specificity the work assignment that will require such member to be more than 50 miles from a designated polling place, the vacation or the military service that will prevent the member from appearing at the polls, and must be received by the Chairperson of the Election Committee seven (7) or more days in advance of the Local Union Election.
